Motivation Education
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." William Butler Yeats
What is it in a human being that ignites the imagination and sparks motivation to know more?
Whenever you cruise, you are entering a world that can be alluring, exciting, complex and magical in the eyes of any youth or adult. What if, on this adventure, you were also engaging in actions that would create personal understanding and bring you in closer touch with the real world environments around you? Our creative learning actions will inspire and motivate participants to look at their world with new eyes.
Motivation Education "summits" K2 with Earth Treks Climbing Centers

Motivation Educations' Youth Leadership Program had the privilege of closely following the feat of Earth Treks K2 Climbing team and "summiting" on a climbing wall on July 20, 2007, the same day the team reached the top of K2. Leadership participants completed many leadership actions and blogged their congratulations to the magnificent climbing team who provided the youth with inspiration, heroes and a chance for them to imagine themselves on top of the world.

Successful Pilot Program on Princess Cruise Lines - Intergenerational Family Program a Big Success
The Motivation Education Teaching Team enjoyed the privilege of working with families during our first ever Intergenerational Programming onboard a cruise ship. Two years in the making, the program is designed for maximum interaction between adults and youth. Our first program entitled Exploring Extremes utilized Motivator Map activities based on the expertise of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute of Panama and the Earth Treks Climbing Centers as participants went from the highest peaks to deep into the jungle.
The families of predators receive their final instructions to prepare for a Motivator Map simulation mirroring the difficult lives of sea turtles. Yes, it is true; only 2% survived!!!

This signature material designed by ECRC materials specialist Chris Mortenson ensures active learning for exciting programs designed in full cooperation with our partner, the Blacks of the Chesapeake Foundation.
Hats off to the ECRC Leadership Team
